A Famous Footstep to Follow- An Introduction

Hello!

This is faithful blog mistress Lauren speaking and I am here to introduce yet another one of our offshoots- Phantom Family does Sherlock Holmes.

This one has become of interest to us as a team as I have, and always have had, an adoration for the adventures of Sherlock Holmes in his many guises.

Jamie has never been exposed to the character or his mysteries and thus I have changed this. From the moment I exposed him to the BBC's Sherlock, Jay has been hooked and thus started our Sherlock Holmes quest where we attempt to consume as much Holmes related media as we can.

Join us as we watch, listen, and visit stories and places associated with the great detective. Read our thoughts, theories and adventures as we trace the legacy of the residents of 221B Baker Street.

Like the Agatha Christie blog, you will primarily be hearing from me as I go a step further and delve into the written verse of Holmes as well as audio depictions as I am literary driven unlike my partner who is very much a fan of visual media. My home library features many editions of Holmes' adventures and I can't wait to re-read some of these classics and share with you my findings. If I am honest when reading these as a child (I was an advanced reader) I never enjoyed them, it was always the Tv shows and movies which curated my love for the character, but I hope now my literary noggin has grown this may have changed.

Of course this blog doesn't end with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's creations, this will expand to cover the entire network of Baker Street Irregulars who have taken up the mantle on his behalf and fleshed out the character for all to see!

Keep your eyes peeled, we wont be exploring this fascinating topic in order, but as and when we come across this. Young Yogi will feature as our very own Toby (think the bloodhound from The Great Mouse Detective, Disney's nod to the famous sleuth), we look forward to following the footsteps of the most famous detective in the world.
